SUZUKI VIOLIN, IRISH AND IMPROV FIDDLE FOR KIDS

Joanna offers children ages 3+ classes in Suzuki violin, fiddle, and improvisation that help children develop their musical abilities and character. All children who start learning within Joanna's studio start with the Suzuki method and improvisation and will eventually add Irish music if they want to. Children learning the Suzuki method and their parents attend one private lesson per week and one group class each week. Children who have prior experience with violin and are looking to advance their fiddling techniques in private lessons are encouraged to also attend group classes at The Baltimore Irish Music School if they live in the area. Joanna also teaches online to students with prior experience playing the violin who live farther away. Students are expected to practice with their parents (until they're mature enough to practice alone) at home and listen to the reference recordings daily.

SUZUKI VIOLIN, IRISH, AND IMPROV FIDDLE FOR ADULTS

Joanna offers classical violin and Irish and improv fiddle to adults online and in person, regardless of their prior experience. Contact Joanna to discuss whether joining her studio would be a good fit.

NEW STUDENTS

Joanna is currently accepting new students if what they are looking for is aligned with what Joanna offers. If you or your family or friends are interested in learning Suzuki violin, Irish fiddle, and/or improvisation, please reach out to Joanna via email and submit a form on the registration page. New students under 18 must observe both individual classes and group classes before the start of lessons. This observation period sets expectations for the students and parents and builds anticipation in the students to be able to play the instrument which is often motivating.
